The inaugural Backyard Bash on September 10, 2016 was a family-friendly event that took full advantage of our spacious backyard. In the shadow of the Circle of the Four Directions, guests danced, ate, played, and bid on donated items in our silent auction for the benefit of the Abbe Museum. Live music was provided by fiddler Gus LaCasse, and the popular island-based band Frogpipe. Food vendors included Havana, Mount Dessert Bakery, Blaze, Bar Harbor Catering Company, and Molly Neptune Parker, serving homemade Passamaquoddy food.

Bash by the numbers:

  • 244 tickets sold, plus 26 sponsor/donor tickets given

  • 67 items in the silent auction

  • $6,625 silent auction sales
